It can vary greatly, depending on what type of trucks are being washed, what chemicals are being used, and the outside factors (such as the temperature at the location, or even the temperature of the truck itself). You can 2-Step with only cold water, or with only warm water, but typically you don't mix. Unless it is very hot out, it's typically best to 2-Step Wash with warm water, around 100-120F.

Many times it depends on what the end user has available. This particular video was filmed during the winter in Michigan. It can be difficult to wash depending on how cold it is.

The products in this video are '#1 Citric Pre-soak' for step 1, and 'Film Fighter' for step 2. We have many different combinations and typically like to work with the end user to match up the best soaps for the type of vehicle they are washing as well as the type of equipment they're using to wash.

Once you're familiar with the 2 Step Process and the equipment being used, people rarely ever spray the ground when switching from 1 to 2, or from 2 to rinse as they have a much better sense of timing. When you're just getting used to it, or showing an example of switching from steps, it helps to see clearly when the swap happens.

The majority of our undercarriage/wheel wash systems are used in combination with our entire automated wash system, which includes at least a soap. We prefer to let our chemicals do the work instead of the water pressure or brushes. It sounds like what you're describing isn't 'dust', but instead road film. Road film is different kinds of dirt that are basically 'stuck' to the surface of the vehicle and require either 2 Step washing or using a brush to remove it completely. Acidic solutions get rid of that but its like washing your hands if you want to do it proper youre going to have to use some friction😉 for quick wash downs this system looks pretty legit.

They are not. Those are spinners that are made specifically for automated wash systems.

Because of the variety in size, shape, and weight of vehicles, it's unlikely to have the same sort of set up as a car wash.

Within the truck washing industry, 'brown soap' is a somewhat common industry standard.

NERTA also makes similar soaps, but we are a different manufacturer and make our own products.

We typically recommend using a few different systems. We have a 2 Step remote system, a 2 Step gun system, as well as some 'beginner' systems where you can swap without contaminating chemical storage.

Our soaps are typically different colors within their original containers, especially as they are fairly concentrated. Once they are applied, it can be hard to see the faint difference due to how they are diluted they become once applied. When we focus on fleet washing, we tend to prefer less foam for an easier application and rinsing but that also means there is virtually no color upon application.

Unfortunately, we do not ship or sell outside of the US and Canada.
